The 1900 census list the family living in a mortgaged home in township 2. Children are Emile 16, Louise, 14, Albert 12, Clementine 9, Ernest 6, Georgie 4 and Adrian 2. Adolphe is a saloon keeper.
The 1910 census lists the family living in their owned home at 163 Front St (16th). Adolphe is a farmer in the grain industry. Emile is 26, a 'broadender' [bartender] is a saloon, his wife Beatrice is 22, their children are Louise and Emile, aged 2 and 1 respectively. Albert is 21 a nd a rider for the store ranch, as is Ernest who is 16, then George 14, and August 12 are both in school.
His 1917 draft registration gives his occupation as a laborer for Emil Bucholz in Chowchilla, he is single. No NOK is listed.
The 1940 census lists George and Stella, no children. They live with his divorced brother Emile at 135 16th street, and he is a dish worker.

DEVAURS in Clovis, July 30, 1971, George Devaurs, husband of Mrs Stella Devaurs of Clovis, brother of Ernest and August of Merced, and Mrs Louise Bordagaray of Coalinga. Aged 76 years. Remains are being sent to Ivers and Alcorn for burial in Merced.
