ALBANY--E. Norton Reusswig, 79, of 420 Sand Creek Road., Colonie, died June 28 at his home after an extended illness. He lived in Utica from 1909 until 1921. Mr. Reusswig was on the board of Trustees of the Les Trade Brothers Food Brokers in New York City from 1921 until 1962. He was President of that firm from 1960 - 1962. During World War 2 he was chief procurement specialist with the Office of Quartermaster General, and received the Exceptional Civilian Service Decoration. In 1947 until his retirement in 1967, he was a member of the National Food Brokers Association and was national president in 1953 and chairman of the board from 1957-1967. In 1955, he was selected to serve on the social advisory committee by Ezra Benson, Secretary of Agriculture for research and retailing, wholesaling and food distribution. In 1960, he was president of the New York City Association of Food Distributors.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Parsell; one daughter, Miss Christine Ann of Colonie, one son William N. Reusswig, Glenmont; one sister, Mrs. Bryan Battey of Washington, D.C.; also three grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, July 6,1978 in the Chapel of the All Saints Episcopal Church, Glenrock, New Jersey. Arrangements by Zwack & Sons Funeral Home, Albany, NY.
