A son of Ernst Heinrich Maria Christiane Sittig Reusswig.
Uncle Fred went west to follow his Uncle, the Rev. Henry Reusswig, and settled in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. on December 22, 1886, he married Sarah (Sadie) Ellen Miksch and they had four sons: Frank, Walter, Howard and Max. All of them became engineers.

Educated in Utica NY public schools and business school collage. Came to Minn in June 1884 and located in Melville township. Engaged in farming in Melville township Renville county, Minn from 1887-94; connected with the Hector Lumber & Supply Co. Hector Minn 1894-1903 as v pres and bkpr; moved to Grand Rapids Minn 1903 and has been engaged in undertaking and embalming business to date. Pres Board of Education Grand Rapids. member Masonic fraternity, MWA,AOUW,D of H and OES.
