...Mrs. Lewis A. (Lillie) Nihiser, seventy-three, died at her farm home in the Maple Grove community southeast of La Plata, Friday at 8:00. She suffered a heart attack three weeks ago and had been seriously ill since.
...Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 at the Methodist Church in La Plata, conducted by Rev. R. L. Bennett, pastor of the church. Interment was in the La Plata cemetery.
...Lillie Medler, daughter of William and Martha (Kitchen) Medler, was born near Albion, Edwards County, Illinois, October 8, 1877.
...She was married to Lewis A. Nihiser of Dalton City, Illinois on November 28, 1901 at Decatur, Illinois. They lived near Dalton City until 1911 when they moved to their home in the Maple Grove community where they have lived the past forty years.
...She is survived by her husband; five children, Mrs. Earnest (Grace) Cribb of La Plata, Guy Nihiser of Novinger, Mrs. Elmer (Faye) Mitchell of La Plata, Mrs. Dan (Fern) Evans of Reynolds, Iowa and Mrs. Jesse (Waneta) Kettle of Gibbs; twenty-three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her parents, one brother and two step-brothers preceded her in death.
...Mrs. Nihiser was converted in early womanhood and became a member of the Methodist Church. She belonged to the La Plata congregation.
