...Grace Marie Cribbs, 84, of La Plata died Friday evening (February 13, 1987) in the Kirksville Osteopathic Medical Center where she had been a patient since February 1.
...Born August 18, 1902 in Dalton City, Illinois, she was the daughter of Lewis and Lillie Medler Nihiser. On July 30, 1922 in Kirksville, she was marrried to Ernest Cribbs who preceded her in death in 1972. Also preceding her in death were one brother, Guy Nihiser; one sister, Fern Shelor; and one grandson, Daryl Hall.
...Surviving are two sons, Lloyd Cribbs of La Plata and George Cribbs of Durham; four daughters, Arlene McInturff of Canoga Park, California, Phyllis Binkinshaw of Apple Valley, California, Eva Hall of Novelty and Dorothy Hardy of Kirksville; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
...At an early age, Mrs. Cribbs moved with her parents from Illinois to La Plata.
...She was a member of the La Plata Methodist Church.
...The body was at the Travis Funeral Home in La Plata where services were held at two o'clock Monday afternoon, (February 16, 1987). Burial was in the La Plata Cemetery.
NOTE: The last name Cribbs is incorrectly spelled in her obituary. It should have been: Cribb.
