Pfeifer -- Martina Roth, 71, homemaker, died Wednesday, June 2, 1993 at St. Joseph Medical Center, Wichita. She was born Nov. 18, 1921 in Schoenchen to William and Anna (Munsch) Gottschalk.

She married Eddie Roth March 25, 1941 in Pfeifer.

She was a homemaker and spent her lifetime in the Pfeifer area. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers, both of Pfeifer, and the Victoria Daughters of Isabella.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Ed Jr, Northglenn, Colo., and Neal, Pfeifer; three daughters, Sheila Page, Victoria, Glenda Betzen, Wichita, and Sharon Kay Hoffman, Hays; thee brothers, Wendelin Gottschalk of Wichita, Marcus Gottschalk of Coffeyville, Adolph Gottschalk of Hays; two sisters, Rose Wasinger of Schoenchen, Louise Hoerner of Kansas City, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Pete Gottschalk and Vincent Gottschalk; and five sisters, Amelia Gottschalk, Regina Bieker, Mary Pfannenstiel, Bernadine Unrein, and Bertha Schmedemann.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Pfeifer, with Father Didacus Dunn officiating; burial in church cemetery. A Victoria Daughters of Isabella rosary is scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday, followed by a parish vigil service at 8:15 p.m., both at Cline's Mortuary, Victoria. Visitation is from 7 to 9 tonight, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary.
