"Although the obituary for Dr. Leon Grotious Zerfas only listed Charles Zerfas as his surviving son, according to my grandmother Mildred Florer, she had been his common-law- wife in the state of Indiana, where he fathered 5 children; Diana, Jane, Leon Grotious ll, John and Robert. All are deceased except for my mother, Diana."
