BRIDGEWATER –Mrs. Harriet Virginia Wise, 67, of 108 McGuffin Ave., Bridgewater died early Monday at the University Hospital in Charlottesville.

She was born Sept. 26, 1906 in Elkton and was a daughter of the Late Arthur Cleveland and Ida Shifflet Sullivan.

Mrs. Wise was formerly of Mt. Crawford and had been living in Bridgewater for the past five years.

She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Mt. Crawford, and also belonged to the church’s Adult Sunday School Class No. 9 and Ladies Guild.

On Sept. 2, 1933, she married Frank B. Wise, who survives.

Also surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Otis Shiflett of Crozet, Mrs. Josephine Ritchie of Harrisonburg, Mrs. J. C. Sullivan of Waynesboro, Mrs. Harold Sullivan of Warrenton and Mrs. W. W. Webster of Fishersville, and five brothers; Roy C. and Meredith Sullivan, both of Waynesboro, Edgar Sullivan of Charlottesville, Ellis Sullivan of Stanardsville and Joseph Sullivan of Baltimore, Md.

The funeral will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Mt. Crawford by the Rev. Ron David and the Rev. Ross Speicher. Burial will be in the Mt. Crawford Cemetery.

The body is at the Lindsey Bridgewater Funeral Home where the family will receive friend 7:30-8:30 p.m. today.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be sent to the Trinity United Church of Christ Bus Ministry in care of Gary Moyers, Rt. 1, Mt. Crawford,.
