Sully worked at Crompton, Dawborn Brothers and Brown & Root and retired from ALCOA. He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir. He was a Life Member of Waynesboro First Aid Crew and was Crewman of the Year in 1970. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Sully was a great outdoorsman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers. He was the last living member of his immediate family.
He is survived by his "second family", Warren and Sandy Cash, Stephen Cash and D.W. Cash, and close friends, Carl Staton and the late Jeane Coletti.
The family would like to express a special, "special" thanks to all the Staff at Birch Garden, especially Robin, Sarah and Dreama, for their compassionate and loving care and also Augusta Health-Hospice of the Shenandoah.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2015, in the Chapel of Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, conducted by the Rev. Dave Cunningham and the Rev. Merle Fisher. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the hour of the service. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Waynesboro.
Active pallbearers will be Stephen Cash, D.W. Cash, Wesley Cash, Ben Cash, Neil Cash and Gene Cash.
