Sandra Kay Hapka, 57, died at 8:40am in Baudette on June 29th.
Sandra was born on January 17, 1954 to Clarence Arnold and Barbara (Morrisey) Arnold in Angus, MN. She attended school in Angus, Warren, and Mount St. Benedict High School in Crookston. She received a degree in nursing from the University of Minnesota, Crookston. She was united in marriage to Peter Hapka on December 29, 1972 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Euclid, MN. Although she worked a few years as a nurse, she spent most of her life dedicated to her family and as a partner in the family farm. Sandra and Peter raised three children Van, David and Kelly on their farm near Warren. They moved to Baudette in retirement.
Sandra enjoyed devoting herself to her family and community, and was involved in numerous church and community organizations.
She is survived by her husband Peter of Baudette; three children, Van (Amy) of Warren, MN, David (Anna) of Austin, TX and Kelly of Washington, DC; sisters Constance (Don) Omdahl of Thief River Falls and Jacalyn Lee of Mesa Arizona; and six grandchildren, Alexander, Zach, Betsey, Vivian, Paul and Noah.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, George and Eddie Arnold.
