Mesa, AZ - Barb Arnold, 78, died Wednesday, December 25, 1997 at the Valley Lutheran Hospital in Mesa, AZ.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 29 at 11 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Warren. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery in Crookston. The Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home of Warren was in charge of the arrangements.

Barbara Anna Morrisey was born on November 24, 1919 at Crookston, the daughter of Francis and Mary (Kotschevar) Morrisey. She was raised and attended school in Crookston.

On June 16, 1939 she was united in marriage to Clarence "Kelly" Arnold at Crookston. They lived in Angus. They operated the Burnt Inn in Duluth and a restaurant in Wahkon before moving back to Angus where they owned and operated Barb's Cafe. Kelly died on June 15, 1977. For the past 20 years, Barb has lived in Warren and Mesa, AZ.

She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, golfing and playing cards and Yahtzee.

Barb is survived by one son, George (Janet) Arnold of Moorhead; three daughters, Connie (Don) Omdahl of Thief River Falls, Jackie (John) McDaniel of Mesa, AZ and Sandra (Peter) Hapka of Warren; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Tiedeman of Crookston, Dorothy (Joe) Wellman of Apache Junction, AZ and Patricia (George) Lefebvre of Mesa, AZ; one brother Charles (Eleanor) Morrisey of St. Cloud; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Kelly, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Edward "Eddie" Arnold; two sisters, Marion Brower and Frannie Ohlgren; and two brothers, John Morrisey and Ralph Morrisey.
