He was born in Salt Lake City and raised in Sterling, Idaho. He married Carol Boley from American Fork UT.
Their children: Gary & Jeanette Herbert, Brent Herbert, Connie & Steve Ault, Linda Herbert, Susan & Curtis Carlson, Tom & Karina Herbert, and Holly Herbert. They have thirty grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren.
Duane was a member of the LDS Church and served a mission to Central Canada. He and his wife served missions together in Boston, Massachusetts and then Nova Scotia Canada. He also loved serving the community.
Thank you for your friendship, love, and prayers. He will miss you, but just picture him doing what he loves now on the other side helping people!
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010 in the Sharon Stake Center, 545 South 800 East, Orem. Family and friends may call on Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, and Saturday morning from 9:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the Stake Center.
Interment will be held in the Orem City Cemetery.
