PHILADELPHIA, Pa., Jan. 14. - Strickland Kneass, formerly chief engineer and surveyor of the city, and for many years past assistant to the president of the Pennsylvania Railroad company, died here this morning. He had been confined to his bed but a few days, and was affected with disease of the heart and liver.
