ERLENE HARLING DORN - Services for Erlene Harling Dorn will be at 3p.m. Friday at McKendree United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Charles Sperry officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Davis Russell, Wes Bowling, Mickey Balchin, Bruce Robinson and Frank Paul. The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 to 8p.m. The family is at the home. 202 West Laurel Avenue. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the charity of one's choice. Mrs. Dorn, 86, of 202 West Laurel Avenue, widow of Wallace M. "Zonnie" Dorn, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Edgefield County, she was a daughter of the late Robert May Harling, Sr. and Hattie Faulkner Harling. She was a graduate of Edgefield High School and was a retired beautician. She was a member of Lupo United Methodist Church. Surviving is a daughter, Geraldine D. "Gerri" Trotter and her husband, Larry Gene Trotter, of Greenwood, a son Wallace M. "Wally" Dorn, III, of the home, a sister, Annie Clair Balchin of Greenville, two brothers, Faulkner Harling of Greenwood and Robert May Harling of Natchitoches, LA, and a granddaughter, Sarah T. Russell and her husband, Davis Russell, of Easley. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Rodgers.
