Yancy Faulkner Harling, 85, resident of 112 Irvine's Circle, husband of Evelyn Anderson Harling passed away February 13, 2015 at NHC Healthcare. Born in Edgefield County, December 12, 1929, he was a son of the late Robert May and Hattie Faulkner Harling. Mr. Harling served in the South Carolina Army National Guard from 1950-1959 and was owner and operator of Harling's Tire Market from 1968-1995. His spontaneity and creative nature was entertaining to all who knew and loved him. Mr. Harling was a member of Tranquil United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by sisters, Elsie H. Rodgers, Erlene H. Dorn and Annie Clair H. Balchin. Surviving in addition to his wife of sixty-one years are four daughters, Yancy Harling and husband Steve Mikeal of Columbia, Janet H. Robinson and husband Bruce of Greenwood, Angela H. Yingling and husband Matthew of Columbia and Libby Harling of Greenwood; four grandsons, Douglas Mikeal, Evan Mikeal, Dylan Yingling and Austin Yingling; a brother, Robert May Harling, Jr. of Natchitoches LA; and many special nieces and nephews. Burial with military honors in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Blyth Funeral Home.
