"Those who do not look upon themselves as a link connecting the Past with the Future, do not perform their duty to the world." —Daniel Webster, 1820

About Me
I am a native of Madison County, Indiana, with a lifelong love for genealogy and exploring cemeteries. My father and paternal grandparents were natives of Wise County, Virginia, and most of my American ancestors made their homes in Lee County, Virginia, and neighboring Hancock County, Tennessee.

View my digital library on Archive.org at the link above.

I will happily transfer memorials to close relatives upon request.

Canon GP-E2 GPS Receiver
When photographing gravestones, I shoot with a Canon EOS 70D for high-resolution images, mounted with a Canon GP-E2 GPS receiver which appends precise coordinates to each photo as metadata. A little known but excellent feature of Find a Grave is that uploading a photo with GPS metadata bypasses the "Suggest Edits" feature and automatically assigns coordinates to a memorial. For this reason, I highly recommend the GP-E2 or a similar device for Find a Grave contributors.

Using the GP-E2, I have added GPS to every marked grave in each of the following cemeteries:

Mack Reams Family Cemetery (London, Laurel Co., Kentucky)
Adams & Williams Cemetery (Crafts Colly, Letcher Co., Kentucky)
Combs & Stallard Cemetery (Crafts Colly, Letcher Co., Kentucky)
Cress-Linville Cemetery (Crafts Colly, Letcher Co., Kentucky)
Ike Morgan Family Cemetery (Crafts Colly, Letcher Co., Kentucky)
Baker Cemetery (Mayking, Letcher Co., Kentucky)
Clevenger Cemetery (Wrigley, Morgan Co., Kentucky)
Barker Cemetery (Dryden, Lee Co., Virginia)
Duff Cemetery (Sigma, Lee Co., Virginia)
Sigma-Payne Cemetery (Sigma, Lee Co., Virginia)
Hobbs Cemetery (Blackwater, Scott Co., Virginia)
Fleenor Cemetery (Mendota, Washington Co., Virginia)
Pardee Cemetery (Pardee, Wise Co., Virginia)

... and to large portions of:
Anderson Memorial Park (Anderson, Madison Co., Indiana)
[Blocks BA, BB, GM, & M]
