I have been researching my family tree now for the last 35 years or so in the attempt to fill in any blanks. To this end, Find A Grave has been an absolutely "Go to Site"; an virtual gold mine of information! Thanks and appreciation go to the creators of this webpage.

Transcription of Avoca Cemetery records project
I am currently transcribing this cemetery's records onto FAG. Please understand that there will be errors in spelling, etc. and that I am undertaking this task to the best of my ability. Most entries have an interment date so an approximate DOB is calculated from that. Any additional information is most welcome; with page management gladly transferred to family upon request. Note: A quicker method of transfer can be achieved by using the "Suggest Other Correction" feature.

Handy hint: According to the Avoca & District Historical Society any burials at Avoca prior to 1858 took place at the Avoca Pioneer Cemetery (a page has been created). The cemetery is located at the rear of the old Bank of Victoria Building in High Street, Avoca . Sadly the site is devoid of any headstones and markers and burial records appear lost. Should you have a death certificate stating a burial took place at Avoca prior to 1858 it can be assumed that the person was buried here.

If anyone has a photo of higher resolution in regards to those I have uploaded please add it to the relevant page along with any that relate to the postings I have made. Thank you.

To those of you who use Facebook I have created a private page available to those FAG members and other researchers with family links to the Pyrenees region of Victoria. Pioneers of the Pyrenees - A Regional Goldfields History is listed as my homepage above.
