Joseph Steria 80 died at his home in Kirschnerville Saturday afternoon. Death was due to to a stroke of paralysis sustained about two weeks ago, which was the third he had suffered within two years.
He was born in Kirschnerville, a son of Joseph and Katherine Mosher Steria, and had resided all his life in the vicinity of his birth. His occupation was farming. He is survived by two daughters and four sons, John, David, Daniel and Joseph, Mrs. George Martin, all of Croghan, and Mrs. Peter Martin, of Belfort; also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. John Yousey, of Croghan.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a. m. at the Amish Mennonite church near Croghan. Interment in the Amish cemetery in Kirschnerville.
