Son of James Britt & Gladys Davis Ward; husband of Barbara Hawkins Ward, married December 18, 1952.

He worked at American Enka for 17 years, and more recently was employed by WNC Parking Lot Services.


Survived by his wife; two daughters and two sons; two sisters, Helen Dills of Asheville and Linda Ward of Leicester; and three brothers, Jimmy Howard and Eddie Ward, both of Leicester.


Funeral services: Monday in Pinnacle View Baptist Church, of which he was a member.


Burial: Grace United Methodist Church cemetery
