I didn't know a lot about Gary's family, except that he had several siblings, but I do know that he was a hard working man that loved his wife and kids very much, and enjoyed spending time with them and his friends.

Although he was one of the stoutest men that I ever knew, he was a very unassuming person who looked like any other man on the street, and had a quality about him that made him a very likable individual.

He was a crane operator for the Southern Railroad company and mostly worked derailments. He was diagnosed with melanoma two days before Thanksgiving and passed away the day before the following St. Valentine's Day.
