Most of my ancestors, dating back to 1801, were born, raised, or lived their remaining lives in eastern Kentucky due to land grants issued to a few of them for their service in the Revolutionary War. All of my siblings, both of my children, as well as my wife were born and raised in Kentucky, too. However, I was born in Cincinnati, raised in Florida and after the better part of 20 years living in or near Kentucky, returned to the 'Sunshine State' where I still live today.
