Antonino was a man who believed in family, hard work and sacrifice. His home was a gathering place for so many and over the years most of his family lived with him. He had a green thumb and grew fig trees, pear trees and apple trees. He had many grapevines and each fall he would pick the grapes and make his homemade wine. He was a charter member of the Italian Workmen's Club and also served as President. Antonino became the official chiropractor to the Greenbush neighborhood. He never went to school but had a gift for helping people with back, shoulder and joint pain. In the late 1950's, Madison started the urban renewal project. The Greenbush neighborhood was to be raised and apartment buildings and a medical center would be built in the neighborhoods place. Antonino watched as the bulldozers leveled the home he loved so much. Shortly after this Antonino died at the age of 97.
