Mr Riley Hall suffered a paralytic stroke on his right side Aug. 31, 1924 from which he never fully recovered. Emergency surgery was performed at midnight in the Wilson County Hospital and he survived, but died an hour later. He had been able to continue to work however and had been an employee at Standard Oil Refinery in Neodesha for more than nine years and was one of only a few who were on their group insurance plan.
He was born on what is known as the Hall Farm 3 1/2 miles north of Neodesha. On May 17, 1910 he was married to Miss Carrie Kellar. Four of their six children survive and are Doris [later married a Cantrell and lived in Fredonia], Lois, Howard and Margaret. James and Bobby died as infants. He was the son of Nathan and Alice Hall. Siblings surviving are James of __ California, William of Cherryvale, Nellie Rockwall of ____ and Belle Gardner of New Albany, Kansas.

Funeral was held Thursday at First Baptist Church and officiated by Rev. W. H. Briggs. The I.O.O.F. were present and had part in the service. Mr Hall had taken every degree in the I.O.O.F. and was an honorary member of Rebekahs's. Funeral was largely attended ......

Graveside service was held at Neodesha Cemetery with I.O.O.F. in charge.
