"COLFAX WOMAN PASSES -- MRS. LAURA WOOD DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS.
Husband, Two Sons, One Daughter and Two Grandchildren Surviving Relatives.
Colfax, Wash., Dec. 16. -- (Special.) -- Mrs. Laura Wood, 62, wife of D.L. Wood, died at her home near this city Friday, after a two years, illness. She was born in Limestone county, Texas, and came to Whitman county, Washington, from Colorado, 40 years ago.
She first lived at Tekoa before coming to Colfax many years ago. Surviving are her husband, two sons, Homer W. and Frank L. Wood; one daughter, Florence Ackerman, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Bruning chapel tomorrow at 1:30 P.M., the Rev. C.M. Hereford of Steptoe officiating." (from Lee Merklin #48374160)
