JAMES GALLIER, EX-INSURANCE EXECUTIVE, DIES
James G. Gallier, 93, of 9442 E. Bowling Green Road, died this morning at Community Nursing Home where he had been a patient for one day.
He had been the district manager for the Nationwide Insurance Co. before retirement.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Homeworkers Class of the church, the Senior Citizens and the Senior Associates of Columbus.
Mr. Gallier was born June 2, 1880 on a farm near Bowling Green.
He married Bernice Roe May 4, 1930 and she survives. Also surviving are a son, James E., Napoleon; a sister, Mrs. R. M. Strohl, Little Rock, Ark.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A daughter and grandson are deceased.
The funeral will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Deck Funeral Home, with Rev. Frank Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
