Bob Redick, 71, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2010 in St. Paul, MN.

Bob was born January 8, 1939 in Springfield, the son of Anthony and Ann Staub Redick.

Bob was a graduate of Cathedral Boys High School, went to St. Louis University for his bachelor's degree and received his master's degree from Sangamon State. He worked as an insurance underwriter straight out of college and then a pharmaceutical representative before becoming a professor of business administration at Lincoln Land Community College. He coached many youth sports teams over the years and enjoyed playing golf, watching sports and having a good time with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Thomas Redick.

He is survived by a son, Mark (wife, Laura) Redick of Glendale, MO; two daughters, Kerri (husband, Larry) Doll of Springfield and Colleen (husband, Jeff) Gustafson of Hudson, WI; and six grandchildren, Ethan and Luke Redick of Glendale, MO, Olivia and Emerson Doll of Springfield, and Kiley and Keelin Gustafson of Hudson, WI.

Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, October, 11, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1725 S. Walnut St., Springfield, with Rev. Angel Sierra celebrant.

Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in New Berlin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Martin De Porres, 1725 South Grand Ave. East, Springfield, IL 62703, Friend in Deed, P.O. Box 142, Springfield, IL 62705-0142, or St. Patrick's School, 1800 S. Grand Ave. East, Springfield, IL 62703.
