Will of Louisa M. Cole 1898 #513.

The following is as sited in "The Woodworth Family of America, by Jeanette Woodworth Behan, p. 188:

"Daniel Woodworth had 6 children. Louisa M. was the last born. Here is the info you requested. Louisa M. b. 19 Feb. 1812; m. Fenner 30 Mar 1831, Albert Cole (Gospel minister) of Conn. (Chittenango Herald) 4/5/1831."

"Great-Grandma, who was a Woodworth before she married Albert Cole, had inherited a lot of money from her father, and when she heard about the high interest rates they were paying on money out in Missouri, she wanted to move there, because she had a lot of money to lend. It was her plan to take little Mary away from Rhoda and take her to Missouri with them, but in the end only Great-Grandma, Great-Grandpa, Grandpa Cole and Dad came to Missouri.
Art, my brother, said that Great-Grandma Cole was a wonderful cook. She always had a slop jar (a container lard was kept in) full of cookies in the kitchen. She would bake a dozen pies at a time, and use the stair steps as a storage place for baked goods. Art said you could open up the upstairs door on Sunday and there would be the week's baked goods all lined up on the stairs.
I remember that Great-Grandma Cole had a huge picture of Great-Grandpa hanging above the sofa in the living room. It was almost life-size, and it was drawn in chalk or something like that. I can remember it was black and white; I use to love to get my fingers in that stuff, because it would just rub right off. by the time Great-Grandpa died, I had that picture just about ruined. One day after Great-Grandpa died, Art found Great-Grandma standing on the soft, hugging the picture, crying and carrying on about how good she would treat Great-Grandpa if he'd only come back to her. I guess she went a little crazy after he died. She didn't last much longer than he did. They are both buried at Clinton, Missouri." (Statement by Anna Eliza Cole Vestal)
