Roberta Gracey of New Cumberland, Pennsyl-vania, told Sally Hursh (Nef) that she had a mahogany desk and a walnut three-shelf wall cupboard that originally belonged to her great grandfather, Christian Hursh and also a gold watch of her great grandmother, Elizabeth (Rupp) Hursh and also a German Bible with the name Elizabeth Rupp on it.
Elizabeth Hurst died at the age of 88 years and 21 days. According to Cumberland County Bond Book, she was a resident of Mechanics-burg at time of death. Levi Martin, grandson, was executor of her estate. When she died, Elizabeth had 41 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. 29 grandchildren were at her funeral according to Roberta Reiff Gracey.
HURST On the 10th of November, in Mechanicsburg, Pa., of the infirmities of old age, Elizabeth Hurst, widow of the late Christian Hurst, and a sister of Pre. George Rupp deceased, of Shiremanstown, Pa. Aged 88 years and 21 days. Buried at Slate Hill Church on the 14th. She was a widow for 28 years and a faithful and consistent member of the old Mennonite Church for upwards of 60 years.
