Thomas, son of Mnason and Susana Bowen was born in Williamstown, Mo., October 26, 1861. He was united in marriage with Cleola Miller September 12, 1895, since which time his home has been in Queen City. He associated with his father in law J. W. Miller, in the general merchandise business until about a year ago when his health began failing.
Mr. Bowen was secretary of the Schuyler County Mutual Life Insurance Company for 13 years. He joined the Odd Fellows Lodge in 1894 and has been prominent in his work at that lodge. He is survived by his wife, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hively of Williamstown, Mo., and Ibbie Matlick of Yolo, California.
Funeral services were held at the home Thursday morning at 10 o’clock conducted by Rev. P. M. Linda. Interment was in the Myers cemetery.
