Leroy Dickson, 72, of route 3, knox, passed away at 10:15 a.m. Friday in his home, after an extended illness. He was born to George W. and Dora Jane {eskridge} Dickson on August 1, 1908, and lived here all his life. Mr. Dickson was married on May 16, 1931 in Knox to Sadie Marie Vanote, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons Robert and Richard, both of Knox; 4 daughters Dorothy Risner, Mildred Messer, both of Knox, Coleen Risner of La Porte, Barbara Bailey of North Judson; 23 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 brothers William and Jack of Knox; and 3 sister's Lorretta Ernest, Francis Scott, and Margaret Pitrowski all of Knox. Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 12 in the Braman and Sons Memorial Chapel. Rev. Charles Lichtenberger of Eagle Creek Church officiated. Burial took place in Oak Park Cemetery.{from the starke county leader oct 14, 1980.}

He was proceeded in death by his parents, 1 daughter Doris Joann Rowe.
