Michael Adamczak , 78, of 501 Chester Road, Geddes, died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center.
Mr. Adamczak was born in Syracuse and lived in the area all his life. He retired in 1980 from Crucible Specialty Metals, where he worked for 29 years.
He was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church.
He was a member of the Ukrainian National Home, Ukrainian National Association, the Ukrainian Seniors Bowling League and the United Steel Workers.
Surviving are his wife, Anna; two daughters, Anna Holowczenko of Kirkville and Kathy Byrne of Syracuse; a nephew, Peter Adamczak of Poland; six grandchildren; and several cousins.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at the Macko-Vassallo Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church.
Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
Callings hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Macko-Vassallo Funeral Home, 1609 W. Genesee St., Syracuse
