Lucinda's marriage record and the death certificates of two of her children show her maiden name as "Vanover". I have researched the area well, and there were no families with the sir name "Vanover", only "Vandiver". In the 1820 Census, Nancy Vandiver is in Muhlenberg County and living in close proximity to the families of her children's spouses. Nancy was born between 1781-1790. She was listed as living in the same place on the 1830 census. There is no record of her after 1830. Nancy has a daughter the age of Lucinda. I have researched all marriage records and compared them to census records, and all of the Vandiver children fit into Nancy's household. I know one of the brothers of Lucinda was married under the name Vandover. On another's death record it was spelled Vendar.
