MRS. DAVID STEVENS

Mrs. David V. Stevens, who died recently in Chase county, was born October 21, 1844, near Delaware, Ohio. She moved with her parents to Toledo, Iowa (sic), in 1864. In 1867 she was married to David V. Stevens.

Mr. and Mrs. Stevens moved to Kansas in 1869, settling on a homestead in Dry Creek, 10 miles west of Emporia. In the spring of 1896 they moved to Chase county.

Mrs. Stevens is survived by Mr. Stevens and two daughters, Miss Dora Stevens, of Homestead; and Mrs. Maud Wagner, of New Orleans, La. A brother, William McGee, of Toledo, Ohio, and a sister, Mrs. E. M. Stevens, of Caney also survive.

Mrs. Stevens was a member of the Christian church.
