Alice Jane Knotts, 79, of Spelter passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 1, 1938 in Rowlesburg, WV to the late Walter and Faye Auvil Sypolt. Alice is survived by her loving husband, Paul Richard Knotts, whom she married on December 1, 1958. She is also survived by their daughter, June Eschenmann and her husband Jim; son, Paul Knotts and his wife Lori; grandchildren, Timothy and Marcus Eschenmann, and Kristen Knotts; brothers, Cecil Sypolt and his wife Marilyn; Clyde Sypolt and his wife Sally; Rick Sypolt and his wife Alice; and Robert Sypolt and his wife Carolyn; sisters -in -law, Eleanor Sypolt; Ethel Sypolt; Marie Sypolt.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph Sypolt; John Sypolt; and James Sypolt; sisters, Ruby Dean; and Winifred June Sypolt; brother-in-law, Rich Dean; and great grandson, Kaiden James Eschenmann. Alice was a member of Zeising United Methodist Church. She loved the outdoors. She had a passion for taking care of her lawn and flowers. Alice loved her family dearly. A memorial service will be held July 1, 2018 at the Sypolt Farm where she was born in Rowlesburg, Preston County, WV during the Sypolt Reunion.
