Gladys Faye Sypolt, 78, of Rowlesburg, died Jan. 11, 1991, at home. She was born Oct. 12, 1912, in Green Valley, Preston County, a daughter of the late John S. and Massalona Auvil. She is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Richard (Ruby) Dean of Rowlesburg, and Mrs. Richard (Jane) Knotts of Spelter; seven sons, Ralph Sypolt of North Canton, Oh., John Sypolt of Moatsville, James Sypolt of Port Deposit, Md., Cecil Sypolt of New Baltimore, MI., Clyde Sypolt of Rowlesburg, Robert Sypolt of Kingwood, and Rick Sypolt of Glenville; 22 grandcchildren; 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Ralph Sypolt, on Dec. 11, 1989; and by an infant daughter. Interment was in Red Rock Cemetery.
