Actor, Voice Actor Director, Singer, Screenwriter, Translator and Performer. He was a Romanian-Jewish actor, director and translator, who worked in Mexico from the 1960s until the early 2000s. Born Robert Schlosser Szidon, he and his family took refuge in Argentina, as they escaped from the Second World War and persecutions by the Romanian government's alliation with Nazis. He was raised in Argentina, and in 1956, he went to live in Mexico, where he got dedicated in film as a director and screenwriter. In the 1960s, he ventured as a voice director and sometimes as an actor, working mostly for SISSA (Oruga), and Estudios Sonoros Mexicanos (ESM). He once was married to Mexican actress Blanca Sánchez, producing a daughter, Valerie. Due to business conflicts, he left directing voice acting in the 1980s, returning briefly in the 1990s (he briefly worked for the Mexican branch of Intersound). He continued to dedicate himself fully to film direction until 2003, in addition to making some sporadic appearances in voice acting, this time as an actor. He passed away on February 14, 2008, as a result to an aggressive leukemia.
