Born Quintín Bulnes Guedea, he started his career as a teen actor in film industry, and later in the 1950s in voice acting, being one of the most important referents in the Mexican arts. Graduated from the National Institute of Fine Arts, he had Seki Sano as his teacher, and in his early days he worked in classical theater, before venturing into film, TV, radio and voice acting. In his personal life he was married twice, from his first marriage, to Ofelia Martín, he had three sons: Gabriel, Gerardo and Jorge.
