Melissa S. (Smith) Belcher, 49 of Oak Harbor, OH died Friday, April 1, 2022 at her home under Hospice Care. She was born July 28, 1972 in Tiffin, She was a 1990 graduate of Fremont Ross High School, received her Bachelors in Education from the University of Toledo and Masters in Education from Heidelberg University. She had most recently taught at Sylvania Northview, but also taught in Richmond, TX, and the Washington Local School District. A talented volleyball player herself, she was inducted into the Fremont Ross Hall of Fame in 2016. She was also inducted into the Toledo Central Catholic Hall of Fame as a State Champion Volleyball Coach in 2012 and then again as a State Champion Team in 2016. She coached at Whitmer, Northview, and Central Catholic as well as being a referee for Premier Club Volleyball. A member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church, Maumee, OH.
Preceded in death by paternal grandparents Homer & Edna Smith, maternal grandparents Warren & Virginia Stull, and uncle Larry Stull.
