Dorothy died 2 days short of her 106 birthday, from covid -19, that she contracted at the Trinity care center in Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her parents Faye (mcbroom) and William arthur worden, husband Wayne, sister Helen worden, half sister Georgia Worden, half brothers Max and Dean Gehlhaar, sons Billy wayne, Larry Arthur, Jerry Kenneth, and grandson Brett.

Burial was may 10, 2020 at the Corydon Iowa family plot.

Survivors include her daughter Wanda Childers, half brother Ivan Gehlhaar, half sister Pauline Miller, grandaughters Valerie, Theresa, Jeri Kay, Doris, and great grandsons Maverick and Hunter Thompson, and many Gehlhaar, Thompson and McBroom relatives.
