The sad news was announced by her husband, Arnel Cowley on Facebook on November 5th, 2017, which read, "It is with great sadness that my wife Isabel Granada has peacefully passed here in Doha, Qatar. She has been a fantastic wife, mother and daughter. She always did her best in everything she did, whether it be in front of a camera or sports." Cowley also thanked everybody for their prayers and full support, before adding, "Baby... wherever you might be... just always remember that I LOVE YOU and I miss you very much."
Isabel was born in the Philippines on March 3rd, 1976, daughter of Humberto Granada, a Filipino chief marine engineer, and Isabel Villarama Granada V, a homemaker. Isabel attended the Philippine Air Transport and Training Services College where she obtained her bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering in 2001 and secured her private pilot license. Her acting career started after auditioning for That's Entertainment in 1986, where she became a member of the Tuesday group.
Isabel was survived by one son, Hubert Thomas Jericho Granada Aguas; a previous husband, Geryk Genasky Aguas; her husband, Arnel Cowley; two step-daughters, Sarah Cowley and Abbey Cowley; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
Isabel's remains were brought to the Philippines on Wednesday, November 8th, 2017. Her wake was held on Thursday, November 9th, 2017 at Santuario de San Jose in Greenhills, Mandaluyong City.
