He was a Chilean journalist, conductor, presenter and broadcaster of Radio and Television. His 64-year career was developed in Chile, the United States, Spain and Argentina. He was one of the main characters in the history of communications in Chile.

Journalist, TV Host, Voice Announcer, Actor, Performer and Singer. He was a Chilean radio and television journalist, host and actor, who worked since the 1940s until the early 2000s. Born Raúl Matas Esteban, since a young age he had a long career in radio. In 1940, he debuted on Radio Cooperativa Vitalicia, and in 1946, he became known for his radio show "Discomanía", later taken to other countries such as Spain, the United States, Argentina, Uruguay and Peru. In the 1950s he became part of the founders of Chilean television, and in 1958, he went to Spain, where he became known for his show "Discomanía". He hosted various television shows and appeared on films. In the early 1970s, he narrated Cantinflas' animated cartoon series "Cantinflasshow" in Mexico, and in 1976, he started to work on the news television program "60 minutos", one of many of the television works he did. In 1999, he was awarded with Premio Ondas, and after a TV appeareance in "Inolvidables" and two nostalgic music spaces in radio, he retired in 2002.
