THE PARIS NEWS, 29 Apr 1936

Allan Shaeffer, 21, son of Charles Shaeffer of Paris, died at St. Joseph's Hospital at 2:55 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, following an illness of 10 days.

Funeral services have been set for 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Manton-Fry funeral home. The Rev. Travis White and the Rev. Homer T. Fort will conduct the service. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

Survivors include his father; two brothers, Joe Shaeffer of Dallas and George Shaeffer of the US army; his grandmother, Mrs. B.R. Shaeffer of Paris; five uncles, George Shaeffer of Memphis, C.F. Stallings, Bret Shaeffer of Louisiana, Frank Shaeffer of Brookston and W.O. Stallings of Clovis, New Mexico; and two aunts, Mrs. John A. Monroe of Dallas and Mrs. W.D. Hutchins of Paducah, Texas.

Mr. Shaeffer was a graduate of Paris high school and junior college and was a student of Texas A and M College when he became ill.

He was a member of the Delta Sigma fraternity and of the First Christian Church.
