Betty L. Bond Bowers Stottlemyer, 67,
of 218 E. Madison St., died Friday, Dec. 21, 2001, at Johns Hopkins University Medical Center, Baltimore.

Born Nov. 19, 1934, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Anna M. Pepple Bond.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde D. Bowers and Robert R. Stottlemyer.

She was an employee of Grand Union Food Store, Hagerstown, for 27 years and later retired from Hadley Farms Bakery of Smithsburg.

She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Hagerstown.

She was a member of Chambersburg Moose Club; Fraternal Order of the Eagle Lodge 694, Hagerstown; American Legion Post 211, Funkstown; Redmen Club of Williamsport; and Independent Junior Fire Co., Hagerstown.

She is survived by a son, C. Donald Bowers of Hedgesville, W.Va.; a sister, JoAnn Rickett of Hagerstown; two grandsons, Dustin F. Bowers of Hedgesville, and Douglas W. Bowers of Hagerstown; two great-grandsons; nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday at 9 a.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Revs. Stephen D. Robinson and Patricia L. Sebring will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
