A former member of the Cave Spring Presbyterian Church, Mrs. Highnote was a current member of the Cave Spring United Methodist Church where she had formerly served her church as the finance chair. Mrs. Highnote was active through the years in many aspects of Cave Spring life, being a founding member of the Cave Spring Historical Society, the Bridge Club, was a state officer of the Eastern Star, the Leona Clements Porcelain Guild, and served as regent of the Cedartown Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Beside her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tudor (Bunk) Jones, Jr. and John Calvin Jones; by her sister, Mrs. Margaret Jones Harling; and by two son-in-laws, Jerrel Hunt and Richard Allgood.

Mrs. Highnote is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Margaret (Peggy) Allgood of Cave Spring and Mrs. Laura Hunt of Cleveland, Georgia and by five grandchildren, Mathew Boyd Hunt, Emily Grace Hunt, Joshua Styles Hunt, Richard Bradford Allgood, and William Arthur Allgood. A number of nieces and nephews and special family members and friends too numerous to name also survive.
