Alfred Duff Tayloe was the son of James Wynns Tayloe (1832 - 1920) and Elizabeth Blair Green (1845-1889). He was born St. Joseph, Missouri, and lived in Omaha, NE and Memphis, TN. before moving to Tulsa, OK in 1934. He married Sarah Geers, daughter of Edward Franklin Geers in Memphis, June 6, 1918. Alfred was co-founder of the Tayloe Paper Company of Memphis & Tulsa, with his brother, George Green Tayloe.
