-survived by her husband, James A. Downey; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Ferriere and Miss Helen Downey, both of Wallingford; three sons, Morton Downey, George Downey of Hartford and Edward Downey of Hamden; and a brother, Edward Cox of Wallingford
Her son, Morton Downey, achieved fame as a singer in night clubs, on radio and television and in other areas of the entertainment world. He now lives in New York City.
Services will be held from the funeral home on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. and then in Holy Trinity Church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of the J. W. Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Home, 209 Center St., Wallingford, Connecticut.
