Paul Neil Benedict, age 74, of Columbus, OH, formerly of Marietta, OH, passed away on September 21, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on April 3, 1939 to the late Henry Nelson and Marie (Mercer) Benedict in Beverly, OH.
He was raised in Fleming, OH where he worked for Walter J. McCarthy Real Estate and moved to Columbus, OH in 1989. He worked many years as a Realtor in Marietta and Columbus at Saxton Real Estate. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Community Church where he served as usher and on the Administrative Board for many years. In his earlier years, he spent many hours racing on his dirt bike, gardening, doing yard work and was an avid fan of the OSU Sports. He was very patriotic and loved to travel the United States. His true love and joy was his family.

brother, Ronald "Bubby" Benedict;
sister, Bonnie June Benedict;
stepson, Bradley White.
He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Joanne (Fox) White Benedict;
three daughters, Katherine Benedict, Belpre, OH, Kimberly (Ross) Warren of Dayton, OH and Kelly (Wesley) Jester, Vincent, OH;
stepson, Timothy White of Clintonville;
one brother, Nelson Benedict;
one sister, Leona Slatzer;
grandchildren, Amber Schaad, McKinzi Warren, Colin Starkey, Harrison Warren, Sarah and Dylan White;
great grandson, Riley White.
