Los Angeles Pet Memorial Park - It was the brainchild of Veterinarian Dr. Eugene C. Jones who's practice catered to the pets of Hollywood stars. Today it contains the graves and crypts of over 42,000 animals of every description - lions, horses, dogs, cats and snakes - It was the first pet facilty in Los Angeles County and even offered mortuary service, caskets and headstones. In 1978, "Room Eight" was buried here and is joined today by many famous pets. Its animals to the famous include Topper, Hopalong Cassidy's horse, Droopy, Humphrey Bogard's dog, Boots, Charlie Chaplin's cat, Scout, Tonto's steed from "The Lone Ranger", Petey, the black-eyed dog from "Our Gang", and Spot, dog of "The Little Rascals". Rudolph Valentino's dog Kabar was one of the first animals buried at the park. The cemetery has been dubbed "The Pet Cemetery of the Stars".
