Bio

Find a Grave has updated guidelines for transfer of memorials to family members, greatly expanding the list of those entitled to manage memorials.

I now follow Find a Grave guidelines for transferring memorials. Too many times I have transferred memorials to others outside the guidelines after assurances they had information to add to the bios, then they never did so much as add a virtual flower. I am more than happy to add bio information suggested by the memorialized person's other family members and friends.
==============================
Heaven is the place where all the dogs you have ever loved run to greet you.
==============================
"The world would be a nicer place if everyone had the ability to love as unconditionally as a dog."
--M.K. Clinton--

Some people have asked if the Great Dane in my profile photo is my dog. No, he is not one of my "fur babies." I just think the photo is hilarious.

My husband and I have adopted rescued pets for over 40 years. Several other family members do the same. Some of us rescue only dogs, some only cats, and some rescue both cats and dogs.

Mixed-breed dogs are my favorite because their looks are as unique as their personalities; however, my husband and I take whatever God sends our way. I could never ask for better friends than the dogs that have graced my life. I don't know about anybody else, but God gave ME two hands so I can rub two dogs at once, which I do -- a LOT.

These are some of my favorite sayings:

"Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen."
--Orhan Pamuk--

"Dogs are my favorite people."
--Richard Dean Anderson--

"Blessed is the person who has earned the love of an old dog."
--Sydney Jeanne Seward--

This is my favorite poem:

"It came to me
that every time
I lose a dog
they take a piece
of my heart with them,
and every new dog
gifts me with a piece
of their heart.
If I live long enough
all the components
of my heart
will be dog, and
I will become
as generous and
loving as they are."
