Misty Dawn Harris Fruits 26 years old, passed away April 27,2008 in Indianapolis, IN. Misty's life was short , although it was fulfilling. Starting at three yrs old she was crowned Little Miss Nesco and was rewarded by riding in the parade with Ed McMann and his wife. At five years old in gymnastics she won the All-Around Gold Medal. At the age of six, she continued on and won several medals , including her second gold medal for the White River State Games. At 7 she participated in PAN AM standing next to Mayor Bill Hudnut. She then picked up tap dancing and ballet where she won 2 trophies. Later she took on acting and landed a small part in a movie. At the age of 10 She appeared on star seach. As you can read Misty touched many hearts, she will be missed but never forgotten. Misty was the daughter of Nelma Harris and Johnny McDonald. Her second father was Grand Ole Opre Star Fredie Burke and her second parents were Audie and Steve Fruits as well as June Williams. She is also survived by sisters, Angel Harris, Lara Miller, Chasity Harris, Lisa Rangel, Shawn and Nickie Wilson; foster sisters, Rea Perkins, Jessica Tamsy, Apple and Tessa Bonilla; brothers, Rickie and Randy Miller, David Burtzo and Raymond Rangel; children Messiah, Ayronna and Sonny Harris. Also Survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Services for Misty will be Monday, May 5 at 12 p.m. with calling at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial at New Crown. Arrangements: Jordan Gray Funeral Home.
